Brandon Maxwell, the stylist in charge of Lady Gaga's wardrobe since 2013, has announced the launch of his own brand. The first collection will be shown as part of New York Fashion Week in September.
Brandon Maxwell's designs have already been tried on by his celebrity client - in September 2014, Lady Gaga appeared at one of the events in a navy blue evening dress with an asymmetric cut. According to the designer, this dress was his first work, and the singer's release coincided with his thirtieth birthday. It was she who, noticing that Maxwell was constantly drawing sketches of outfits for her and other designers, invited him to launch his own brand. Since then, the stylist has already created several exclusive outfits for Lady Gaga, including a dress for the Grammy ceremony.
The stylist in charge of Lady Gaga's flamboyant bows began working with the star as an assistant to his predecessor, Nikola Formichetti, and after the cult stylist left in 2013, he took his place. Since then, Maxwell has managed to catch up with Formichetti in popularity and get into the list of the 25 most influential stylists in the world according to The Hollywood Reporter magazine.
